Concrete Sealer X-1

Concrete Sealer X-1 is a permanent silicate based deep penetrating sealer which means that it is guaranteed to last for the life of your concrete because it chemically bonds to the concrete to become part of its integral structure. It is highly effective in making concrete physically stronger and denser, protecting it against frost and salt while increasing its resistance to stains, acids, alkalis, moisture, mold and mildew. This sealer will cure damp and wet basements by preventing hydrostatic water from penetrating through the concrete. It will also stop dusting, efflorescence, spalling, pitting, crumbling and prevent mold, mildew and algae growth. The sealer will seal the concrete to significantly reduce the level of radon gas penetration which is known to cause lung cancer by the EPA. 

Concrete Sealer X-1 can be used in all commercial and residential concrete applications to treat damp or wet concrete basements, concrete floors, concrete walls, concrete driveways and sidewalks, concrete garage floors, concrete warehouse floors, concrete storage tanks, concrete pipes, concrete blocks, grout, mortar and stucco. It can also be used to extend the life of exterior wood including fences, patios, decks, cedar and wood shingles. 

Concrete Sealer X-1 is an easy to apply using a brush, medium nap roller or low pressure sprayer at any temperature between 40 and 80°F. The surface to be treated does not need any special treatment but it must be oil and dust free to allow proper penetration of the sealer. You should check the surface of your concrete before applying this sealer to make sure it absorbs drops of water within a few seconds, if it beads up then use Eco Concrete Etcher prior to applying this sealer. It will cover approximately 200 to 400 sf/gal/app depending on the concretes' porosity and two coats are recommended. Typically 5 gallons will seal a maximum of 1,000 sf of poured concrete using the two required applications but this coverage can be lower depending on the concrete porosity. 

Concrete Sealer X-1 penetrates through the capillaries of the concrete to a maximum depth of up to 4" where it chemically neutralizes damaging chemicals to form a hard insoluble structure based on calcium silicate and calcium hydroxide. Unlike surface coatings this sealer will not be damaged by efflorescence or be worn down by heavy traffic because it is permanent. 

Concrete Sealer X-1 leaves a natural finish (no sheen) after application, it is UV resistant, non-yellowing, breathable and the surface will not be slippery. This sealer is not a repellent coating so the concrete can be painted after it has been sealed with increased paint adhesion because the sealer neutralizes the alkalis in the concrete preventing saponification of the paint. Adhesives and epoxy coatings can also be applied over the sealed concrete with no adverse effects.

Concrete Sealer X-1 is environmentally friendly, non-toxic and nonflammable because it does not contain chemical solvents or release any VOC or noxious fumes.

Concrete Sealer X-1 is not recommended for stamped, decorative or aggregate concrete.

After cementitious surfaces have been treated with Concrete Sealer X-1 and Concrete Sealer X-2
they can resist many chemical compounds more effectively including acids, salts, solvents, alcohols and oils.

Concrete Sealer X-2

Concrete Sealer X-2 is a higher concentration sealer than Concrete Sealer X-1. It creates the same chemical reactions within the concrete as Concrete Sealer X-1 and it has the same physical properties, coverage rates and application procedures.

Concrete Sealer X-2 has been specifically designed to seal very porous concrete or concrete blocks. This sealer is also recommended for poured concrete if the concrete is more than 10 years old or if signs of seepage or damage such as dusting and efflorescence are already evident. It is also recommended that this sealer is used on outdoor concrete surfaces which may be exposed to severe weather conditions. This sealer is not recommended for decorative, stamped or aggregate concrete.

Concrete Sealer X-3

Concrete Sealer X-3 is a special blend of polysiloxanes/silanes which crosslink below the surface of the concrete making the concrete surface water and stain repellent allowing spills to be removed more easily. This sealer can either be applied alone or on top of Concrete Sealer X-1 or Concrete Sealer X-2 to provide double protection of the concrete with both deep sealing and a repellent finish. 

Concrete Sealer X-3 can be applied on all types of decorative and stained concrete pavers, concrete aggregate driveways and concrete walkways, bricks, clay tiles, mortar, grout and any natural stones. It can be used on above grade plaster and stucco providing a breathable barrier against water, stains and acids and will seal hair line cracks. The sealer can also be used to seal swimming pools and fish ponds to prevent water escaping through the concrete capillaries and pores. It can also be used in dog kennels and agricultural institutions to provide stain resistance which assists in the maintenance of these enclosures. 

Concrete Sealer X-3 is easy to apply using a brush, medium nap roller or low pressure sprayer at any temperature between 40 and 80°F. Concrete Sealer X-4

Concrete Sealer X-5

Concrete Sealer X-5 produces a low gloss or satin finish that enhances and protects the appearance of all types of interior and exterior decorative, stained and stamped concrete pavers, brick, mortar, masonry, concrete structures and concrete aggregate driveways.

Concrete Sealer X-5 is a special non-yellowing, UV resistant acrylic copolymer blend which protects the surface of the concrete making it repellent to water, freezing temperatures, sun, pollution and  staining. This sealer is a VOC Compliant, low odor water based combination of a sealer plus an enhancer.  

Concrete Sealer X-5 can be used on all types of concrete to make it dustproof. It is particularly effective on exposed aggregate surfaces to reduce wear and to eliminate the problem of loose pebbles.   

Concrete Sealer X-5 is a DIY type sealer which is easy to apply using a brush, medium nap roller or an airless sprayer at any temperature between 40 and 80°F. The surface to be treated does not need any special treatment but it must be oil, paint, adhesive and dust free to allow proper adhesion of the sealer. This coating must be applied to well prepared concrete and we do not recommend using the densifiers prior to application. You should check your concrete before applying this sealer to make sure it absorbs drops of water within a few seconds, if it beads up then use Eco Concrete Etcher prior to applying this sealer. It will cover approximately 250 to 400 sf/gal/app depending on the concrete porosity and two coats are recommended 4 to 6 hours apart. The sealer should be applied in two thin coats and not a single thicker coat. Typically 5 gallons will seal a maximum of 1,000 sf of poured concrete using the two required applications but this coverage can be lower depending on the concrete porosity and application method. If you are applying this sealer to a smooth surface and you want to add slip resistance to the concrete sealer we recommend that you add 1 to 2 packets of Stone Grip to each 5 gallons of sealer. If Stone Grip is added to the sealer we do not recommend spraying.
 
Concrete Sealer X-5 provides a protective coating which enhances the effect of our 20 different easy to use Instant Concrete Dyes that stain and dry on the concrete in only 5 minutes.

Stone Grip

Stone Grip is an anti-slip additive that can be stirred into Concrete Sealer X-4 or Concrete Sealer X-5 when they are applied to very smooth surfaces. It can also be added to any type of coating or paint to provide additional slip resistance. 

Stone Grip is a micronized polymer which can be suspended in the sealers due to its low density without significantly affecting their viscosity.

Stone Grip is sold in 16 ounce containers and we recommend adding 1 or 2 to each 5 gallons of  Concrete Sealer X-4 or Concrete Sealer X-5. As the concentration of Stone Grip is increased the more slip resistance that is imparted to the surface but it does also slightly reduce the gloss of the sealer.

Eco Concrete Etcher

Eco Concrete Etcher is a water-based non-hazardous, non-corrosive, biodegradable, odorless, VOC free, non-flammable concrete etching and cleaning solution. This advanced formula incorporates a blend of organic chemicals and surfactants for the most effective concrete etching solution available. It does not contain phosphoric or hydrochloric (muriatic) acids which present health and environmental risks including toxic fumes and corrosive run-off.

Eco Concrete Etcher is the preferred eco-friendly and user friendly etching alternative for interior or exterior concrete preparation. It opens the pores on hard-troweled or non porous concrete allowing better adhesion prior to application of any of our Concrete Sealers.

Eco Concrete Etcher is also ideal for cleaning, degreasing and acid etching concrete floors, walls, basements, garages, factories, warehouses, driveways, swimming pools, patios, and containment areas prior to coating, staining or sealing. It can be used on concrete, masonry, concrete block, brick, mortar and grout to properly prepare substrates for optimum penetration and adhesion of stains, paints and industrial sealers. It also removes dirt, clay, mortar deposits, rust and efflorescence and reduces the pH of new concrete which can burn off sealers.

Eco Concrete Etcher is supplied as a ready to use etcher which covers 100 to 200 sf/gal depending on the concrete porosity. Apply with a pump up sprayer or watering can and scrub the surface with a stiff brush for 15 minutes without allowing the etcher to dry out. Rinsing thoroughly with water 2 or 3 times to neutralize the etching action. 

Concrete Cleaner #1

Concrete Cleaner #1 is a highly concentrated cleaner which can be used to clean and degrease concrete, masonry, bricks, concrete block, stone, mortar and stucco. It will remove most stains including oils, tar, dirt, grime, adhesives, resins, paints and graffiti. 

Concrete Cleaner #1 can be used to clean concrete driveways, sidewalks, patios, parking lots, factory and garage floors, basements, walls, storage tanks and concrete pipes.

Concrete Cleaner #1 is diluted 100:1 with water for light duty cleaning, 10:1 for normal cleaning, 5:1 for heavy duty cleaning and can be used straight if necessary when removing excessive amounts of oil, grease and paint. When used straight Concrete Cleaner #1 will clean approximately 100 sf/gal. It can be fed through a pressure washer for easy dilution and application and then rinsed off thoroughly. If stubborn stains persist the cleaner can be poured directly on to the stain and then worked in with a stiff brush for 10 minutes and then rinsed off. Even when used undiluted this cleaner will not cause any damage to the concrete because it is not acidic unlike other cleaners based on muriatic acid which actually dissolve the concrete to remove the stains.
